Often I am asked why we chose to live in Umbria, of all the beautiful regions of Italy.   In a few words - for its beauty, for its rich cultural and artistic offerings, for a quality of life that is slower, richer, and still steeped in the traditional values of home, land and family - a perfect balance of elements that makes the choice right for us.  Umbria is a region of supreme natural beauty, with vistas of fields and mountains and hilltop villages, where daily life follows a rhythm that is elemental and eternal.  We find that this “Green Heart of Italy” sustains and satisfies us, both physically and spiritually.
