After
the bustling streets of the Castello district, where shops and restaurants
attract a vivacious crowd of tourists, it was a delightful surprise to
arrive at our little B&B, the Locanda Casa Querini.
It is located in a tranquil little campiello, a small square
with a stone well in its
center and an arched passageway that leads to a maze of
quiet residential streets and canals beyond.
Our
comfortable room faced the quiet piazzetta. The Locanda is family-owned and offers a stay in Venice
that is easy on your budget. Not
far from the Zaccaria boat launch, it is a five-minute walk from St.
Mark’s and not far from the Rialto Bridge, making its location
unbeatable.
